Millie Bobby Brown fans think they’ve figured out why the actress underwent a dramatic makeover

Millie Bobby Brown’s major makeover led to Pamela Anderson and Britney Spears comparisons — which may have been the whole point.

The “Stranger Things” star debuted her platinum blond look ahead of her 21st birthday, posing for fun Y2K-fashion shoots to show off her new ‘do.

However, some fans believe the actress made the major change to secure her bid as the Princess of Pop in the upcoming big-screen biopic.

“Ready to play Britney now,” one fan commented under a recent photo, to which another agreed, “BRITNEY IS COMING.”

“Oh s–t. Is she actually playing Britney?!” a third questioned, as a fourth chimed in, “she could TOTALLY play britney in the biopic!”

Brown was rumored to have thrown her hat in the ring after Universal Studios won the right to produce a biopic based on Spears’ best-selling memoir, “The Woman in Me.”

Although the Jon M. Chu-directed movie is still in the early stages, the “Enola Holmes” actress recently told “Access Hollywood” that she would be honored to play the pop icon.

During Monday’s premiere of “The Electric State,” Brown was asked if she was “slipping right into the Britney Spears” movie now that she wrapped her last project.

“I mean, you know, she is an absolute icon,” the actress gushed. “I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story. But that’s her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life… how she wants to.”

Brown reiterated that she would only want to do the film if Spears, 43, was fully on board.

“I would want someone to bring it to life in the most beautiful way, and I’d always be open to that,’ she added.

The chance to play Spears is currently one of the most coveted roles in Hollywood — and something Brown has always dreamed of.

During an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in 2022, the Netflix star revealed that playing Spears was on her “bucket list.”

“I want to play a real person and I think for me, Britney … [It] would be Britney Spears,” she said. “I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.”

She continued, “Just growing up in the public eye watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger … I see the scramble for words [in her interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
