Jinder Mahal is in line for WWE World Heavyweight Title shot at WWE RAW next week. That match against Seth Rollins could see the Modern Day Maharaja start another title run on top of WWE, but it would be hard to beat his first reign as champion.

There are a lot of possibilities, and nothing is off the table at this point. Some have said that, at this point, Seth Rollins doesn’t even need a championship, especially if he’s got a WrestleMania match against CM Punk in his future. Only time will tell what they do, but some fans are preparing for another era with the Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal, as champion.

A post from Reddit’s Squared Circle is now going viral, as it pointed out that Jinder Mahal’s single WWE title reign outlasted the individual WWE title reigns of 29 former champions. Those names include iconic figures like The Rock, Kurt Angle, Undertaker, Mankind, Daniel Bryan, Eddie Guerrero, Ric Flair, Batista, Edge, Kane, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, Bray Wyatt, Iron Sheik, Andre the Giant, RVD, Stan Stasiak, Ivan Koloff, Big E, Buddy Rogers, Dean Ambrose, Jeff Hardy, Psycho Sid, Big Show, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Vince McMahon, and Sgt. Slaughter.

Mahal’s championship run of 170 days stands as a notable achievement in comparison to some of the biggest names in WWE history. They may have more time with the title, but it took multiple reigns to get them that stat.

In case you need reminder, there are numbers to suggest that Jinder Mahal was a more profitable WWE Champion than Seth Rollins. In 2020, a post went viral that pointed out, domestically at house shows Seth Rollins Universal title reign drew an estimated 53,350 fans over 16 shows for a 3,334 average. This is worse than Jinder Mahal’s WWE title reign, which averaged 3,497 on a weaker brand.

We will keep an eye on this story, and everything else in the pro wrestling world, here at Ringside News. You never know what will break next, and Jinder Mahal’s World Heavyweight Championship shot was certainly unexpected.
