Belated congratulations are in order for Mindy Kaling.
The “Mindy Project” star announced on her 45th birthday Monday that she quietly gave birth to her third child, a daughter named Anne, in late February.
“She’s the best birthday present I could’ve ever imagined,” she captioned an Instagram post.

“When things are hard, whenever I veer towards cynicism, my three kids are such a great reminder of the pure joy in my life. I’m so lucky I live in a place where I could do this by myself, on my own timeline. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!”
This is not the first time that Kaling has surprised fans with baby news.
She is also a mom to daughter Katherine, 6, and son Spencer, 3.
In 2020, the “Office” star announced on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that she had given birth to Spencer, without letting the public know she was pregnant.
“I’m telling it for the first time now … I gave birth to a baby boy on Sept. 3,” she said on the talk show.
