WWE has confirmed that Las Vegas will host WrestleMania 41. For months, Minnesota had been viewed as a front-runner, but Las Vegas gained momentum in the weeks leading up to WWE Backlash.
The Star Tribune reports that Minneapolis had been a finalist to host WrestleMania 41. Minnesota Sports and Events (MNSE) pitched to have the city host the two-night show at U.S. Bank Stadium. MNSE’s president and chief executive Wendy Blackshaw commented on the news that WrestleMania 41 would not be held in Minnesota.
“We were informed by WWE that Minnesota would not host WrestleMania in 2025 due to a change in direction by new ownership,” Blackshaw said. “Although disappointed, we are in discussions with WWE about future events in Minnesota. We are optimistic that Minnesota will host WWE events here in the future.”
Minnesota has yet to host a WrestleMania. As of this writing, there is no word on whether the city will be in the running for WrestleMania 42 and beyond.
