MJF already has his sights set on AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, as he challenged Daniel Garcia to face him. However, Will Ospreay upstaged the former world champion.
MJF kicked off the June 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, but Daniel Garcia quickly interrupted. Garcia recalled how MJF privately encouraged him and said that he could be a pillar of the company. He then recalled how challenging MJF for the world title was one of the most embarrassing moments of his life, but it led to him going on a remarkable run.
MJF replied by agreeing that Garcia had grown a lot, and he said that Daniel was getting closer to becoming someone who could potentially take his place.
MJF said that Garcia deserved another shot at the king, and he challenged him to a match at AEW All In. Before Garcia could answer, AEW International Champion Will Ospreay came to the ring. He had a challenge of his own, as he offered to give Garcia a title shot on the July 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. Ospreay also said he would put the AEW World Championship on the line if he won it.
After accepting Ospreay’s challenge, Garcia was about to answer MJF, but the latter encouraged him to focus on Ospreay. MJF walked away, leaving the status of his match with Garcia unclear.
Ospresay will challenge Swerve Strickland for the world title at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
