Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar celebrated a crucial milestone by starting the road improvement project, which will extend from the Shadnagar main chowrasta to the Annaram Y junction on the bypass road. The inauguration ceremony was attended with considerable enthusiasm and involvement from the local community.
MLA Shankar spoke about his previous days in the opposition, when he aggressively fought for this development. He explained that as part of his protest for the road, he planted rice in the potholes, highlighting his personal connection to this endeavor. The Republic Day launch was especially poignant, as it coincided with a commitment to complete the road construction if the Congress government came to office.

In the presence of Panchayat Raj authorities, MLA Shankar performed religious ceremonies and proclaimed the start of the roadworks with a symbolic first drive of a JCB vehicle. Former MLA Pratap Reddy expressed his delight at seeing the road widening, which had been a long-standing community demand and had resulted in several accidents.
“Today, as we embark on the expansion of this vital road, it brings happiness to the people who have been waiting for this development for a significant period,” Pratap Reddy, the secretary general, said. He also underlined that the roadworks coincide with an auspicious occasion in the Congress government’s mandate.
