At 39 years and 40 days old, Luka Modric made Real Madrid history by becoming the oldest player to play an official match in the Merengue jersey. During the 2-1 victory against Celta Vigo on Saturday evening, the Croatian broke the record held since 1966 by Ferenc Puskas.
The former Hungarian striker played his last match for Casa Blanca at 39 years and 37 days old. Despite his age, Luka Modric continues to impress, as evidenced by his assist for Vinicius Jr’s winning goal.
