Wumi Aloba, the wife of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as Mohhad, has said that her son’s greatest enemy is his grandfather.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the late singer wife and her father-in-law Joseph have been at loggerheads since the demise of Mohbad over the demand for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of Liam.
Wunmi, in a post that has since been deleted, said via her Instagram Story that her son Liam’s greatest enemy is his grandfather.
She wrote, “Liam’s greatest enemy is his grandfather. Life is funny.”
The post left netizens guessing as Wunmi did not specify whether she was referring to Liam’s maternal or paternal grandfather.
This comes amid ongoing family dispute following the death of Mohbad in September 2023.
Mohbad, born Ilerioluwa Aloba, died in Lagos at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances.
In May 2024, the autopsy results failed to determine the cause of his death.
Addressing the press at the coroner’s inquest held in Lagos State, lawyer Wahab Shittu explained, “According to him (the pathologist), the cause of death cannot be determined because by the time they conducted the test, the body had decomposed and that it is not possible for them to determine the cause of death.
“So in summary, he is saying the cause of death cannot be ascertained. And when you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear, no particular reason.”
