AS Monaco and LOSC parted with a goalless draw this Friday, at the opening of the 8th day of Ligue 1 (0-0).

What could be better than a European duel to get back into national games after a grueling truce in the four corners of the world? L’AS Monaco and LOSC met at Louis-II this Friday for a very attractive display between two of the best students in this championship.

A top-of-the-table match that the Principality club approached in a gala costume, that of leader. After settling at the top of the table just before the break, Adi Hütter’s men had an ideal opportunity to put pressure on their direct competitors, Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille. And even if it meant killing two birds with one stone, beating LOSC also allowed ASM to distance itself from its evening opponent. It’s a failure.

Monaco without idea

Adi Hütter and Bruno Genesio were also faced with a real headache, between injuries and the need to manage the organizations a few days before the return of the demanding Champions League. So many parameters which inhibited all these beautiful people. Not inspired enough, the Monegasques were unable to make a difference in this balance of power.

The meeting was generally disappointing, despite decent technical quality and great intensity. Faced with a good grid from Lille, the Monegasques were unable to find an opening. Worse, they finished numerically inferior after the expulsion of Jordan Teze for a dangerous gesture on Gabriel Gudmundsson from the hour mark (61st). Despite a match point missed by Zakaria and saved by Chevalier (90th+1).
