AS Monaco does not let go of PSG. Pointed to six points behind the reigning French champions before the kick-off of their match against Brest, this Friday evening at Louis II, the Principality club came back to three lengths behind the leader thanks to their 2-1 victory.
The Monegasques started the game strong by opening the scoring through Akliouche (4th), well served by Ben Seghir. But the Monegasques ultimately did better than hold on, sealing the fate of the match thanks to a double from Akliouche (90th + 1). Ajorque’s goal (90th + 5) changed nothing.
Building on this new victory, Monaco consolidates its place as runner-up to PSG, before welcoming Benfica next Wednesday in the Champions League. For its part, Brest did not prepare as well as possible for its shock against FC Barcelona on Tuesday evening.
