For its centenary match, AS Monaco won (2-1) in the final seconds of added time against Montpellier.

This Saturday evening, AS Monaco hosted Montpellier for the sixth day of Ligue 1. Shortly after a quarter of an hour of play, the Hérault residents showered the Louis II stadium. Nzingoula opened the scoring, scoring his first goal since the start of his career, with a big shot under the crossbar (0-1, 16th).

Adi Hütter’s men were quick to react. Perfectly served by Embolo, Balogun

deceived Bertaud with his left foot (1-1, 33rd). After a relatively balanced first half, the two teams returned to the locker room with a parity score.

During the second act, Balogun stood out again. With a little less success this time, since the American international hit the left post (65th). Ditto for Savanier, following a well-wound free kick (85th). In added time, Coulibaly left his partners at ten due to a sole on the foot of Ouattara (90th + 2). Then, in the dying seconds, Zakaria scored the winning goal with a flat right foot (2-1, 90th+9).

Following this victory (2-1) for its centenary match, the Principality club temporarily takes the lead

Marseille Olympic in the standings, with 16 points. The Monegasques thus return to the level of Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1. As for the Montpellier residents, they are now in fifteenth place.
