Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu

The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman of the Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Muyiwa Ibeun, has commended the Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu, for restoring power supply in Mopamuro Local Government Area in Kogi State.

He praised the Minister’s efforts in implementing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on sustainable power supply in Nigeria.

In a letter of appreciation released by the traditional ruler on Sunday, the royal father noted that prior to his appointment as the Elulu of Mopa by the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, he had met with the Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu.

He disclosed that during their meeting, they had an in-depth discussion on how to restore and sustain the power supply in Mopamuro Local Government Area.

“I commend the Minister for standing by his word and ensuring that power was restored to Mopamuro in less than three months after my appointment and coronation as the Elulu of Mopa,” he stated.

“During these three months of my reign, the 132/33KV transmission station located at Okebukun near Kabba has received significant attention, thanks to the efforts of Hon. Leke Abejide and Hon. Salman Idris, who represent the Yagba and Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituencies, respectively.

“This progress is evident in the testimonies of electricity consumers across the country, who have reported that power supply has not only been restored but also sustained for longer hours,” he said.

Furthermore, there are reports that electricity facilities are being repaired, reinstalled, and newly installed nationwide to reconnect and connect previously dark areas to the electricity grid.

“I also extend my appreciation to the Kabba Area Manager of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and his team for their dedication and commitment to their duties, which led to the reconnection of Mopamuro,” he said.

The Elulu of Mopa further expressed his gratitude to the Bola Tinubu-led administration for taking bold steps to make Nigeria great again.

He called on all Nigerians to support the government and its agencies in delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda for the benefit of the people.
