The Street Profits, the team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, worked hard to become one of the mainstays of WWE’s tag team division. With that said, it appears Ford hasn’t given up on a singles run in WWE.

Monez Ford also previously stated that he wants to become WWE Champion if The Street Profits break up. The Rock also gave Montez very encouraging message in the past that helped his confidence in a big way.

It’s been over three years since the Street Profits last held any gold. They now have their sights set on the WWE Tag Team Titles, currently held by The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu on SmackDown.

In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Montez Ford expressed his desire for another tag team championship run. He noted the exceptional chemistry he and Dawkins share and confidently predicted that once they capture the WWE Tag Team Titles again, they will hold them for a long time.

Any time you get to call yourself a WWE champion, you know that you are at the top of your profession. The chemistry that we have is off the charts, and when, not if, we get a hold of the WWE tag team titles, they will be ours for a long time.”

Ford also mentioned the possibility of following the path of legendary teams like the Hart Foundation and New Day by balancing tag team success with individual achievements. He suggested that while respecting those teams’ legacies, The Street Profits would bring their unique style to the mix.

Ford pointed out Dawkins’ strength and versatility, calling him a powerful force. He also expressed his openness to pursuing singles titles, making it clear that he hasn’t ruled out a potential singles run for himself.

“The Hart Foundation and New Day, respect to both crews, but the Street Profits would have to put our flavor on it,” said Ford. “I’m down with Angelo for the long haul–Angelo is power and speed, he’s a linebacker.

“And for sure, I think we can take the WWE tag team titles and add some singles gold, too.”

Montez Ford also gave male fans reality check about body image. Regardless, fans would love to see Montez Ford get a singles push, so we’ll have to wait and see when that will happen.
