Moose has credited his time in football with helping him in wrestling.

The current TNA World Champion is set to defend his world title against Nic Nemeth at TNA Rebellion. His journey to the top of the company has been impressive. However, he could not have got there without the discipline he learned during his time playing in the NFL.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Moose was asked about what football taught him that he brought into wrestling. Moose noted that the discipline he learned in the NFL helped him in keeping his busy schedule in wrestling.

“The biggest thing that the NFL helped me with going into wrestling was discipline. I think thats the thing the NFL, and football in general, college, pros, high school, teaches you is discipline. It’s like, you’re on a fixed schedule. You have to be at practise at this time, and you can’t be late! And you have to be on the field at this time, and you can’t be late. And if you are late, there’s consequences. If you have treatment and don’t make it to treatment, you’re gonna be late. And if you’re late to treatment, you get fined. There’s consequences.”

“It helped me with wrestling in setting my schedule and being disciplined enough. Stick to my schedule that I created for myself when I decided to become a wrestler. So I think thats the biggest thing I took from football. Not only to wrestling, but just in life in general.”

Moose Is Happy To See Nic Nemeth In TNA

In an interview with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard, Moose revealed that he is happy to see Nic Nemeth in TNA, but that he plans to beat him at the next pay-per-view.

“Like I said, I’m happy he’s part of TNA. I’m happy he’s part of our roster, but he still has to pay for what he did when the time comes. I have the utmost respect for what he brings to the table and his talent because he’s a hell of an entertainer and a hell of a pro wrestler, so I’m looking forward to some of the matches he puts on for our fans.

“I’ve been a big fan of his for years. So like I said, I’m glad he’s part of the company, but with that being said, when I’m done with the things I have to do and the timing is right, then he will pay for what he did.”
