44 will be the number worn by the new Parisian recruit. However, until now it belonged to another player from the capital club.

This Thursday, Paris Saint-Germain made official the signing of Gabriel Moscardo. The 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder has signed with the capital team until 2028. He will be loaned to Corinthians, his current club, until the end of the season.

The one who played his first professional match on June 29, 2023, during a Copa Libertadores match against the Uruguayans from Liverpool Fútbol Club, was assigned the number 44. Until now, it was the number worn by Hugo Ekitike. An additional clue suggesting that the former Rémois will leave the Rouge et Bleu in the coming days, before the end of the winter transfer window.

According to RMC Sport, the leaders of Eintracht Frankfurt would have offered a loan with an option to buy to recover Hugo Ekitike. The amount would be around 20 million euros, bonus included. Offer refused by their Ile-de-France counterparts. The latter undoubtedly want to get as close as possible to the sum for which they poached him from Stade de Reims, in the summer of 2022, i.e. 35 million euros. A fairly dangerous game given that Frankfurt’s offer seems more than reasonable for a player who has hardly played since the start of the season (only fourteen minutes).
