The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) comment on winning the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The former TNA stars won the gold in just their third WWE match on the October 25 episode of WWE SmackDown. They beat Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa of The Bloodline after earning a title shot earlier in the show.
Speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, the Motor City Machine Guns were asked whether their victory had sunk in yet.
“I think it’s still sinking in. I’m almost kind of speechless, I don’t know what to say,” Chris Sabin said. “It’s kind of unheard of to be on the fast track to success like this in the WWE, but this is exactly what we came here to do. We came here to prove that we’re one of the greatest tag teams of all time, and there’s only place you can do that, and that’s right here in WWE.”
Alex Shelley then said that the hard work was just beginning, as they had to hold onto the titles. He vowed that they would prove that they were the greatest of all time.
“Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter what we did last week, it doesn’t matter what we did an hour ago,” Alex Shelley said. “What matters right now is that we’re champions, and we have to hold onto these. So the hard work’s just beginning. You ain’t seen nothing yet. We’re the greatest of all time for a reason, we’re gonna prove it to the WWE Universe.”
