Seriously injured in the knee last March, Mouctar Diakhaby is currently kept away from the field but that does not prevent him from continuing to talk about football. Invited on the YouTuber’s show Square Feetthe former Lyonnais returned to his relationship with the president of Olympique de Marseille, Pablo Longoria. “He knows me well, he knows my character, he knows my sensitivity. He’s someone I really like. Recently when I got injured, he sent me a message. Humanly, he’s someone who’s very nice, very kind, very understanding.”the 27-year-old defender was keen to point out.

The Guinean international had known Longoria at Valencia between 2018 and 2019. It was even the Spaniard who decided to go and get him from Olympique Lyonnais for 15 million euros at the time. A lot of water has flowed under the bridge, but Diakhaby clearly hasn’t forgotten the man who believed in him when he was just a young defender. The main person concerned should appreciate it.
