José Mourinho could reunite with Harry Kane at Bayern Munich, as the Portuguese is ready to replace Thomas Tuchel at the helm of the team.

The 3-0 defeat to league leaders Bayer Leverkusen put enormous pressure on Thomas Tuchel. Bayern Munich are currently five points behind Xabi Alonso’s team after 21 days. Saturday’s defeat apparently left supporters frustrated, with “Tuchel out” posters seen on Sabener Strasse.

BILD reports that former Roma, Chelsea and Real Madrid coach José Mourinho is considered one of the favorite candidates to replace Tuchel at the helm of the team.

The Special One stands ready

The newspaper adds that the Portuguese manager would learn German and that his name could be taken into account if the Bayern leaders part ways with their current coach.

Mourinho, who previously managed Harry Kane at Tottenham, would reunite with the England captain in Germany if he is chosen. Despite Leverkusen’s defeat and fans’ sentiment against the German coach, club CEO Jan-Chistian Dreesen said Bayern had every confidence in Tuchel and had no plans to separate from the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
