Roma coach Jose Mourinho claims fans think he is Harry Potter after “raising expectations” since taking charge.

His remarks came following Roma’s 1-0 defeat to Lazio on Wednesday, which knocked them out of the Coppa Italia at the quarter-final stage. Due to his brilliant history with teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Porto, Mourinho said he believed fans expected miracles from him worthy of a magician.

“The Roma fans are the most incredible I have ever seen. Their coach is José “Harry Potter” Mourinho and he has high expectations”Mourinho told reporters at a press conference (via ESPN). “I don’t know how many derbies I’ve played, 200, 150, they’re always special matches. I won, I drew, I lost, always with a different experience.

“I have always understood that for a Chelsea fan, a match against Manchester City is not the same as a match against Arsenal. For Inter, a match against Roma is not the same as a match against Juventus. I understand what a derby means. The derby we played was an important derby.”
