On this day of legislative elections in France, Corentin Moutet did not give any voting instructions. But the French tennis player does not see the RN coming to power.
This Sunday, July 7, the second round of the legislative elections in France will be held. The (provisional) results will be revealed from 8 p.m. Having come out on top at the end of the first round, will the National Rally and their allies have an absolute majority in the National Assembly?
This is clearly not Corentin Moutet’s wish. “Go vote brothers. Vote for whoever you want, I am no one to tell you what to do but we must block the extreme right,” wrote the 25-year-old tennis player, recent eighth-finalist at Roland-Garros on his X account (formerly Twitter).
Moutet against the RN, like Mbappé and the Blues
Corentin Moutet is therefore in line with several players from the French team who are participating in Euro 2024. In a press conference, Marcus Thuram was the first to clearly position himself against the party chaired by Jordan Bardella. A few moments later, Kylian Mbappé followed suit.
This week, the captain of the Blues reiterated his remarks. Which did not go down well with Marine Le Pen, who responded to the new Real Madrid striker. More recently, it was defender Jules Koundé who expressed his hostility towards the RN.
