When Mr. Kennedy first signed with WWE in 2005, he was recognized as the fastest-rising star in the company. He had all the tools required to become a big star in the company.

Kennedy was charismatic and was entertaining on the mic. He could wrestle in the ring. At one point, he held wins over Batista and The Undertaker. He even won the Money in the Bank briefcase. His career was headed in an upward direction when backstage politics played a role in his release from the company.

Following his departure from WWE, Mr. Kennedy moved on to TNA where he wrestled under the ring name Mr. Anderson. However, Kennedy has been vocal about his release from the WWE.

During a recent interview with Cheap Heat Productions before the 2024 Royal Rumble, Kennedy stated that he would consider returning for the Royal Rumble match if the opportunity presented itself.

“Yeah, definitely. I would consider it. We’ll just leave it at that. With that being said, I am really excited to see the Rumble. It’s my favorite match of the year. It always has been.”

Mr. Kennedy participated in the 2008 Royal Rumble match which was his only appearance in a Rumble match. He was eliminated by Shawn Michaels during the match. Now that Kennedy is open to making a return for the Rumble match, maybe we will get to see him compete one more time inside a WWE ring.
