The MTV Video Music Awards are going to air on CBS for the first time! The 2025 ceremony will air on CBS this fall, with a simulcast on MTV, which hosts the awards ceremony. The three-hour show will also stream on Paramount+. Keep reading to find out more… The show will air live from UBS Arena on Sunday, September 7 from 8-11 PM ET. The one-hour live pre-show is set to air across Paramount’s networks. During the 2024 ceremony, the pre-show and ceremony aired across MTV, BET, BET Her, CMT, CC, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1. Taylor Swift was the most-nominated artist of the year in 2024 with 12 nominations, including nine noms for her “Fortnight” video.
