He said, “As we celebrate four years since the release of ‘Dil Bechara,’ I am overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. This film, my first as a director, holds an incredibly special place in my heart. It’s not just about the cinematic journey but the deep, personal connections formed along the way.”

Chhabra fondly remembered Sushant Singh Rajput, whose performance brought the film to life. “Sushant Singh Rajput, with his talent and spirit, made this project unforgettable. Chhabra also expressed gratitude for the contributions of others, notably Saif Ali Khan’s cameo as Abhimanyu Veer. He also praised Farah Khan’s choreography of the song Dil Bechara, which became an iconic track. The film is an adaptation of John Green’s novel The Fault in Our Stars. It is regarded as one of the most poignant romantic tragedies.

Upon its release on Disney+ Hotstar, Dil Bechara broke viewership records, garnering an IMDb rating of 10 and amassing 95 million views within 24 hours. The film also starred Sahil Vaid, Saswata Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee, Sunit Tandon, Michael Muthu, Rajie Vijay Sarathy, and Subbalakshmi in key roles.
