The August 13 edition of WWE NXT saw new challengers lay claim to the top title, a massive opportunity announced for the women’s division and other enthralling moments, setting the stage for the festivities for next week’s show.

As seen during a backstage segment, NXT General Manager Ava announced a huge opportunity for the women’s division, No Mercy Gauntlet Eliminator. Through a lottery draw, six competitors, Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey and Karmen Petrovic, were selected. Next week, they will compete in the Eliminator with the winner challenging Roxanne Perez for her NXT Women’s Championship at No Mercy.

In the tag team division, following their food fight at the Great American Bash party, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will square off against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger next week. Furthermore, after Wendy Choo made a huge statement at the end of Lola Vice’s match with Tatum Paxley by taking out NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan, Vice and Wendy are now on a collision course next week on NXT.

Finally, after Wes Lee explained his betrayal towards The Rascalz earlier in the night, he was confronted by Pete Dunne and later, attacked by Joe Hendry as a payback for Wes Lee attacking him at the start of the show. GM Ava announced that all three competitors will compete in a triple threat match next week, with the winner facing Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at No Mercy.
