The August 20 edition of WWE NXT proved to be an enthralling night for the superstars as the road to their next PLE, No Mercy continues and set the tone for the festivities for the go-home edition of the show for NXT No Mercy.
Before NXT went on the air, Karmen Petrovic was assaulted by Izzy Dame in the parking area, leading to her getting injured and missing out on her opportunity to compete in the No Mercy Eliminator match. Next week on NXT, she will get her chance to extract revenge as Karmen battles Izzy in a one-on-one showdown.
Elsewhere, the fans witnessed the formation of new faction, Fatal Influence, comprising Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, who dissed multiple stars coming from other areas to NXT, including Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. The Meta-Four duo will now compete in a tag team match against Jayne and Henley next week on NXT.
Finally, the tensions between No Quarter Catch Crew and D’Angelo Family have been at a high, ever since Charlie Dempsey dethroned Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Hertiage Cup Championship last week. Next week, Dempsey, Myles Borne and Wren Sinclair will battle Channing Lorenzo, Adriana Rizzo and Luca Crusifino in a 6-person mixed tag team match.
