MVP wrestled in the AEW ring for the first time at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.

MVP previously debuted at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in September, but he had not wrestled until AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage. There, he teamed up with his Hurt Syndicate stablemates Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to face AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party and Mark Briscoe.

The two trios battled it out, and in the end, Shelton Benjamin scored the win for his team.

The match marked MVP’s first match on television since July 2022. He competed at Bloodsport XII in November 2024, where he lost to Josh Barnett.
