The young midfielder, seduced by his father’s advice and by the prospect of working with Thiago Motta, has joined the ranks of Juventus Turin.
Like his father Lilian Thuram before him, Khéphren Thuram has chosen to take up the Piedmontese challenge by signing this summer with Juventus Turin. According to the French midfielder himself, the 98 world champion influenced his son’s decision to join the north of Italy.
“My father told me that Juventus is the greatest team in the world for him and he advised me to enjoy every moment spent here. It is a huge opportunity for learning and personal and professional growth,” he said at a press conference. “I think my characteristics are suited to Serie A, which is also why I chose Juventus: I’m changing leagues for the first time and I know I’ll have to challenge great champions.”
Thuram in admiration of Motta
The former Aiglons player, who will be reunited in Serie A with his brother Marcus Thuram, a striker at Inter Milan, expressed his enthusiasm at the idea of playing under Thiago Motta.
“The coach was exceptional as a player, an intelligent midfielder who knew how to work with the team: I can only learn from a person like Thiago Motta. This played an important role in my choice to come to Juventus”confided Khéphren Thuram.
