Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola has shown support and love for her junior colleague, Junior Pope over his battle with depression.



On Wednesday, in the wake of Junior Pope’s death, a few days ago, Jamiu Azeez had cried out to his fans and other colleagues that he was suffering from depression.



The vibrant actor shared the post of the conversation he had with Toyin Abraham when he opened up about his recent state of mind. Jamiu disclosed that he has been depressed for over two years but dying in silence due to the fear of the public’s reactions.

He claimed that nothing had been working for him and he felt lost and unsure of who to confide in but got tired of putting a brave front along the line. Speaking of his confidence, he shared Toyin Abraham’s reaction to his cry and expressed gratitude for the way she handled his confession.

Taking to her Instagram page, Opeyemi Aiyeola expresses gratitude to Toyin Abraham for coming through for him. She expressed how heartbroken she was over the news as she noted how good-hearted and hardworking Jamiu is.

However, she knows that life has a way of throwing challenges heavier than one’s expectations and capacity sometimes. Sending words of encouragement to him, she told him to be encouraged knowing that life is a phase. She further noted how he has always been a steadfast believer in Allah as she admonished him to hold onto his faith.

My heart is broken cos ure such a hard worker, a gentle soul with a very good heart filled with genuine love and u deserve to be happy, sane, and stable in all aspects of your life. Unfortunately, life has a way of throwing challenges heavier than our expectations and capacity at us sometimes.

Be encouraged knowing that life is a phase. You’ve always been a steadfast believer in Allah, continue to hold onto your faith and remember giving up is not an option brother
