Benjamin Tanimu can’t hide his excitement after making his debut for the Super Eagles against the Black Stars of Ghana on Friday.
Tanimu was named in the starting line-up in Nigeria’s 2-1 friendly win against Otto Addo’s men.
The Ihefu SC defender paired Semi Ajayi and Chidozie Awaziem in central defence.

The 21-year-old was in action for 71 minutes before he was replaced by Ademola Lookman.
Tanimu took to the social media to celebrate his maiden appearance for the three-time African champions.
“My joy knows no bounds today. The debut came and I thank God for the Grace to play my part in the little way I could. Thanks to the coaching crew, the entire backroom staff and the senior players for the warm reception into the team,” defender posted on his X page.
