Without Karim Benzema (in the recovery phase), Al-Ittihad easily won their quarter-final of the Saudi Arabian Cup against Al-Faisaly (0-4), thanks in particular to a nice goal from N’Golo Kanté.

Before resuming the Saudi Arabian championship on Wednesday against Al-Taee, after a failed first part of the season (7th, 25 points behind leader Al-Hilal!), Al-Ittihad beat Al-Faisaly 4-0 in the quarter-final of the national cup, the King Cup, on Sunday.

Karim Benzema was absent for this match in the suburbs of Riyadh, as he will return to training on Monday with Marcelo Gallardo’s team. Another French international stood out: N’Golo Kanté scored his team’s second goal with a terrible strike (54th).

Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah opened the scoring from the penalty spot before half-time (45th + 4), while Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazy scored twice in the second half (68th and 80th).
