The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) is set to honour veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) with the Creative Industry Legend Award at its upcoming breakfast meeting.
The event, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 6 at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Lagos, will be hosted by the NACC national president, Sheriff Balogun.
The breakfast meeting with the theme ‘2025 Economic Outlook for Nigeria’ will also feature discussions on Nigeria’s economic outlook for 2025 and aims to provide Nigerian and American businesses with insights into GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, employment, and consumer spending.
Tola Adeyemi, managing partner at KPMG Professional Services will deliver the keynote address, while Muda Yusuf, CEO of the Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise; Dele K. Oye, President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Mines, Industry & Agriculture and Adelana Olamilekan, MD/CEO of Zenith Carex Express will moderate the session.
The NACC has been facilitating trade relations between Nigeria and the United States since its establishment in 1960, through networking, advocacy, trade services, and investment promotion.
It serves as a catalyst in bringing together people and ideals to bolster bilateral commercial relations between Nigeria and the United States.
The breakfast meeting is a key platform for fostering economic cooperation and recognizing industry leaders like RMD.
The 63-year-old film star is considered one of the frontrunners in the Nigerian movie industry with a career spanning over three decades.
