Hyderabad: Traffic at Nanal Nagar has spiraled out of control, with commuters facing severe delays. It now takes up to 15 minutes just to cross a 100-meter stretch, leaving drivers and pedestrians frustrated. The narrow roads from Olive Hospital to the Avalon Building are further worsening the already heavy traffic situation.
Despite efforts from traffic police, the increasing number of vehicles has rendered their efforts largely ineffective. The junction has become a bottleneck, as it serves as the primary exit point for commuters from Moinabad, Narsingi, Suncity, and Langer Houz trying to enter the city.
The problem is compounded after 3:30 PM, when large buses from colleges on the outskirts block the entire road, causing further chaos. After 5 PM, the situation worsens as employees from HiTech City use this route to return home, particularly those residing in the Old City and Attapur areas.

Additionally, the main road from Mehdipatnam to Nanal Nagar remains partially dug and road laying is pending after last year’s underground drainage works. What was once a 90-foot road has been reduced to 60 feet, drastically constraining traffic flow and exacerbating the problem.
While an underpass at Nanal Nagar has been discussed, and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) tender was called recently, there has been no further update on its status. Citizens are now urging the government to take immediate steps to resolve the traffic crisis and complete the necessary infrastructure improvements before the situation worsens.
