Naomi wants to see more gold to fight for in the WWE.
The former TNA Knockouts World Champion returned to WWE in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble. She is now set to team with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair against Damage CTRL on night one of WrestleMania.
No titles will be on the line in the bout, and the fan-favorite star has made it clear that she has her sights set on gold.
Ahead of WrestleMania, she spoke with Going Ringside With The Local Station (transcription via POST Wrestling). Naomi noted that she wanted to see WWE doing more with the women’s division, including more title belts to fight for.
Naomi said:
“I’m always pushing for more TV time, more talent for us… more titles, absolutely.”
With AEW adding the TBS Championship as a mid-card women’s title, she will be hoping Triple H follows suit.
Signing For Smackdown Was The Most Exciting Thing In Naomi’s Career
It hasn’t been long since Naomi returned to the WWE. She entered the women’s Royal Rumble this year, and impressed despite coming up short.
Following that appearance, she was signed to the Smackdown brand. In a WWE interview, she called this the most exciting thing in her career, noting her goal of becoming a world champion again.
“It feels very special. Magical. More exciting than anything I’ve ever done thus far in my career. To have the opportunity to be back and return in such a way. I’m still on a high about it all. I’m still adjusting cuz there’s a lot of new faces. A lot that I don’t like. And also a lot that I remember and do like. So, yeah, I’m just getting reacquainted again and having an opportunity to come back. I’m ready and willing to work my way back up through the ranks and hopefully get myself back into the championship picture. But before I do any of that, I got to glow.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE WrestleMania 40 as it airs.
