Naomi Watts‘ memoir is sure to be a page-turner. Find out all about the book below!
When Will Naomi Watts’ Memoir Come Out?
Naomi Watts’ memoir is titled, Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I’d Known About Menopause, and it will be available on January 21, 2025.
What Will Naomi Watts’ Memoir Be About?
The memoir will cover Naomi’s approach to aging, which includes a huge emphasis on menopause. The book that the author spent 14 months writing, will also include dialogues that Naomi shared with her friends and experts, including Dr. Mary Clair Haver, in order to help make the topic of menopause less taboo. Being that Naomi began to get menopause symptoms at the early age of 36, she grew intrigued by it. Since then, she has set out to normalize the changes that women face, and has inspired women to share their own experiences as well. She announced her memoir’s release on Instagram and wrote: “We should all hold our heads high. We are older, we are wiser and we are not done! We’ve earned our stripes.”

Naomi has transparently shared how she feels about the stigma and shame surrounding menopause, and what she hopes women take away from her book, to People: “Women have had to suffer in silence and shame for too long about the changes they undergo during menopause, with little access to information, support or even much of an open conversation. I hope that this book can play a part in making women feel a little less alone, a little more supported, and dare I say, a little more excited about the natural changes that life has in store for us.”
Is This the First Time That Naomi Watts Has Opened Up About Menopause?
This isn’t the first time that Naomi has opened up about menopause. In 2022, the actress launched her Stripes Beauty brand, which is doctor-formulated and offers women helpful products such as the “Perimenopause Survival Kit,” which includes a daily menopause symptom support probiotic supplement, hair mask and brightening body oil. According to the Stripes Beauty website, Naomi intentionally set out to create the company from her own personal struggles with pre-menopause. She wrote: “I’d wake up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat. My skin was dry and itchy. My hormones were all over the place. I remember feeling so confused and alone, like I didn’t have control over my own body. I created Stripes because we deserve support, solutions, and the space to figure it all out. Because while menopause may be part of midlife, midlife is a lot more than just menopause.”
