After three consecutive matches without success in the league, Naples won on Saturday by overthrowing Salernitana (2-1, 20th day). Torino conceded a draw against Genoa (0-0).

A defeat on the pitch of AS Rome (2-0), a draw at home against Monza (0-0) and a slap received on the pitch of Torino (3-0), Napoli’s last three outings in the Serie A were particularly worrying, especially since Walter Mazzarri’s men had not scored a single goal during these three matches. Receiving the red lantern this Saturday was the perfect opportunity to get back on track. Facing Salernitana, the Azzurri scared each other, but finally won (2-1).

Things started badly as the visitors opened the scoring thanks to Candreva (0-1, 29th). But a penalty converted by Politano in the final moments of the first period (1-1, 45th+4) allowed the locals to breathe. Dominating outrageously without managing to take the advantage, Naples finally snatched a precious success in stoppage time in the second act, this time thanks to Rrahmani (2-1, 90th + 6). Enough to allow it to temporarily climb to sixth place in Serie A.

A little earlier in the day, Torino did no better than a goalless draw on Genoa’s field (0-0). The two teams are respectively tenth and twelfth in the ranking.
