The 27-year-old winger, who arrived in Naples this summer, was the victim of a robbery at gunpoint on Saturday evening, after Napoli’s victory over Parma (2-1). While trying to leave the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, the Brazilian, who was accompanied by his wife, saw two men on a motorbike come and break the window of his car and hold him up with a gun.
The former Ajax player and his partner were fortunately not injured, but several of their personal belongings were stolen. They were able to return to their hotel unharmed, despite the psychological trauma that this attack must have caused.
