Natalya can now add “published author” to her incredible resume.

The Canadian WWE Superstar announced she has written a book on Tuesday’s episode of the Ariel Helwani Show. She began her appearance by talking about how she wants more and wasn’t sleeping well, and pushed WWE management for more when she re-signed last year. Nattie pointed out that she wanted change, noting that fans have seen her taking on new outside opportunities like GCW/Bloodsport and NWA Crockett Cup.

Helwani noted that normally, change would imply she didn’t re-sign, but that’s not the case as Natalya re-signed with WWE last summer. Natalya continued, highlighting how current WWE women’s storylines show the creative vision of Triple H before sharing her big news.

Natalya wrote a new book called Last Hart Standing

“Over the last year, I’ve been working on a book. So today, I’m announcing my book. I was so nervous — so, so nervous. I don’t know why I was so nervous about announcing it and sharing it with the world. It’s been like my baby. I’ve been working so hard on this and just pouring my soul into this. I was so grateful this summer that Triple H allowed me time to work on it, and to really dig into it,” Natalya explained.

“Once I signed my new deal, I started working on it and really just pouring my soul into it. It was one of the most cathartic experiences of my life to go, ‘I want to tell my story.’ Because once I started writing it, I realized that a lot of people don’t know my story. A lot of what’s out there, what I have shared or WWE has showed of me, 18 years of WWE and even being on Total Divas, it’s — a lot of people don’t know my story. And that’s really cool to have a chance to tell my story,” she continued.

“It’s scary, it’s scary to open up in a way that’s — things I’ve never talked about, things I was scared to talk about, things that I was scared to share, things that have happened in my family, with my dad. My dad and I were very close, but we had a very complex relationship, which it’s just being able to dive into that, by the time I realized and got to the end of it, I was like, ‘Nobody knows my story.’ And that’s what makes me excited. So while I was scared to share it, because a lot of it’s really deep stuff and there’s a lot of fun too.”

Natalya wants to make her family proud and show what she’s accomplished

Natalya told herself not to be afraid to include stories in her book because it could help someone else in their own life.

“This book to me is so special because I just want to make my family proud. But I feel like I was never supposed to make it. In such a male-dominated sport, especially my grandfather, he was the tree. He was rooted in the soil that helped grow my uncles Bret and Owen and Davey Boy and Dynamite [Kid] and my dad. He was able to give us all of that and so, I very much wanted to make my grandfather proud. I wanted to make [all of them] proud because their legacies are huge,” she explained.

Natalya pointed out that she’s still standing in WWE after 18 years, which was hard to do. She outlasted everyone else that she started with.

Booker T helped inspire the title of the book, Last Hart Beating. During an interview, he was asked which female WWE Superstar was the greatest. Booker said Nattie because “she’s the last motherf*cker breathing.” She said it not only meant a lot personally, but the line also came from “Breathin’” by 2Pac, an artist Nattie is a huge fan of.

Helwani also confirmed that Last Hart Beating will be released on October 28, 2025.
