Natalya, a cornerstone of WWE’s women’s division, recently reflected on her incredible 18-year journey as a WWE Superstar during an interview with Denise Salcedo. As the Netflix era of WWE kicks off, Natalya shared why she feels this is the greatest period in WWE history, pointing to an era of gratitude and appreciation behind the scenes.
“I’m so grateful that I’ve seen so many different eras in WWE,” Natalya explained. “In 2008, I debuted. I was signed in 2007. I’ve worked with over 65 different women. I love what I do, and so when you love what you do, you never really feel like you’re at work. Time has just flown.”
Natalya also revealed a heartfelt moment from her 18th anniversary of signing with WWE—a text message from WWE President Nick Khan. “Nick Khan, he’s, of course, in charge at WWE, sent me the nicest text. He was just like, ‘I’m so proud of you. Thank you for all you do.’ It reminded me of this new era of gratitude, of appreciation,” Natalya said, adding, “It just reminded me that we’re in, truly, the greatest era in WWE. This Netflix era is transcending. It’s a huge time for the industry.”
After a brief hiatus in 2024 for eye surgery to correct a lifelong astigmatism, Natalya is back and ready to continue her legacy. With nearly two decades of wrestling under her belt and a passion for her craft, Natalya is not just a veteran but a testament to the evolution of WWE’s women’s division.
Natalya’s journey in WWE is proof that hard work, passion, and gratitude can leave an undeniable legacy.
