The National Democratic Congress (NDC) inaugurated its Kiel Chapter in Germany over the weekend.

A statement issued and copied The Ghanaian Times by Mr Gabriel Afotey Quaye, chairman of the Kiel Chapter, said the NDC was poised for victory in the upcoming December 7 general election.

He urged the electorate to vote for the NDC presidential candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama, to reset Ghana onto the path of progress and development.

Mr Quaye noted that the 24-hour economy policy of the NDC had the potential to create more jobs for Ghanaians to spur economic growth.

For instance, Mr Quaye said that the 24-hour economy policy catalysed the development of most advanced economies, and that Ghana could rake more foreign exchange, if the NDC wins the election and implement the policy.

According to Mr Quaye, Ghanaians living abroad bore the brunt of economic hardships in Ghana because of constant request for financial support from family members and friends.

He said a functional economy is the one former President Mahama is seeking to build by creating opportunities for Ghanaians in diverse sectors, including technical and vocational training, industry, construction, and manufacturing.

Also inducted into office is the vice chairman, Mr Richmond Kukubor and 11 other executives.

They were Madam Rose Sekoh, vice chairperson; Mr Prosper Kwabena Adjei, secretary; Eric Adjei Mensah, Ibrahim Seidu Mustapha, organiser and Felicia Agbo, deputy organiser.

The rest were Lucy Sedinam, women organiser; Mohammed Barikisu, deputy women organiser, Belinda Naa-Momo Afotey, youth organiser, Hajara Abass, deputy youth organiser and Issah Napa Sahadaas, life patron.
