After Everton’s heavy defeat (4-0) against Tottenham, many Toffees fans came to wait for the players at the station, some to insult them… One man was filmed verbally attacking Neal Maupay. “F-ck you. F-cking rat. £80,000 a week for that. F-cking burner.” launched the Englishman against the attacker. Insults which did not fail to make the 28-year-old striker react, who expressed his indignation on social networks.

“Imagine another job where it’s normal to be attacked like that. Standing at the station and shouting at guys who are trying to do their best…” the former Nice player lamented on X. Announced in the sights of Olympique de Marseille, the Frenchman has always had a rather conflictual relationship with the English public. If in the majority of cases, Maupay took his situations with derision, this time, it could be the last straw.
