In difficulty in Rennes, Serbian Nemanja Matic is preparing to bounce back with another team.

Nemanja Matic and Stade Rennais, it’s almost over! The Serbian international was no longer happy with the Red and Black. He will therefore leave Brittany and even the French championship. Its future should take shape in Türkiye.

Matic will not go to Lyon

According to the Foot Mercato website, the former Manchester United player should strengthen the ranks of Besiktas Istanbul. The two clubs plan to finalize the deal this Thursday. If an agreement is not reached in the coming hours, the deal will not go through and the player will most certainly join another club.

Matic only arrived in Rennes last summer. Although used regularly by Bruno Genésio, the experienced midfielder said he was unhappy at Roazhon Park. He notably highlighted his distance from his family to justify his spleen.

Before Besiktas, a French club had sought to get their hands on Matic, in this case Olympique Lyonnais. But this track did not go beyond initial talks. Either way, it was difficult to see him bounce back with another French club.
