Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria says Vince McMahon is gone following his resignation amid Janel Grant’s sexual assault and sex trafficking lawsuit.
At a recent press event, Bajaria was asked about the lawsuit that was filed against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Bajaria stated that McMahon is gone.
“He’s gone,” Bajaria said. “So he’s not there. He’s gone.”
McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO on January 26. The lawsuit came to light on January 25, two days after WWE announced the major deal that will see RAW move to Netflix in 2025.
During the WWE Royal Rumble post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H was asked about the allegations against Vince McMahon. He stated that he wanted to focus on the positives of what was a great week for WWE.
“I’m gonna do exactly what you would expect me to do here,” Triple H said. “Look, we just had an amazing week. A ten-year, $5 billion Netflix deal, Rock joining our board. We just sold out the Royal Rumble, put 48,000 people in Tropicana Field. I choose to focus on the positive. Yes, there’s a negative, but I want to focus on that and just keep it to that.”
TKO recently confirmed Vince McMahon’s resignation. More information is available here.
