Netflix Developing Thriller Series ‘They’ll Never Catch Us’ From Juliet Lashinksy-Revene & Jessica Goodman; Blumhouse To Produce 

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has launched development on They’ll Never Catch Us, a series adaptation of the thriller novel by Jessica Goodman from Blumhouse Television, sources tell Deadline.

Published by Razorbill in July 2021, the book revolves around a small town’s high school women’s cross-country team and the secrets unleashed when its star runner is murdered. Co-writing the adaptation with Goodman, Juliet Lashinsky-Revene will serve as showrunner, with Goodman acting as executive producer.

A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Goodman’s debut novel, They Wish They Were Us, is currently in development with Sydney Sweeney’s production company Fifty-Fifty Films. Also behind titles like The Counselors and The Legacies, the author has seen her works translated into 14 languages. Formerly the op-ed editor at Cosmopolitan magazine, she was part of the 2017 team that won a National Magazine Award in personal service. She has also held editorial positions at Entertainment Weekly and HuffPost, and seen her work published in outlets like The Cut, Elle, Glamour, and Marie Claire.

Currently a co-executive producer on ABC’s hit series Will Trent, Lashinky-Revene, previously worked on Law & Order: Organized Crime, writing and producing episodes for several seasons of Dick Wolf’s NBC procedural. Previously staffing on USA’s Dirty John and Paramount+’s Sexy Beast, she also developed an original drama titled Demons, inspired by a true events out of the satanic panic of the 1980s, for Hulu.
