Netflix To Adapt Dating Show ‘Love Is Blind’ In Italy

Netflix is adapting its Love is Blind format in Italy.

Love is Blind Italy is the latest version of the dating format at the streamer, with other versions running in the UK, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Brazil, Sweden and Argentina.

The original was created in the U.S., where several seasons have run on Netflix.

Banijay Italia will make the Italian version, and casting has begun. No launch plans were forthcoming at this stage.

The series follow group of singles looking for love who choose someone to marry without ever meeting them face-to-face and no outside distractions. When the wedding day arrives, they are faced with the real-world realities of marriage and external factors that could push them apart.

The UK version launched in August, and the Swedish remake debuted in January and was renewed for a second season two months later.
