Netflix on Thursday morning announced the long-awaited premiere date for It’s What’s Inside, the buzzy horror thriller that it purchased for around $17 million at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, as we first reported.

Marking the feature debut of writer-director Greg Jardin, the film releases globally on the streamer on October 4. Netflix also unveiled a series of first-look stills, which we’ll have for you soon. The first can be found above.

An enticingly twisty tale tonally reminiscent of Halina Reijn’s 2022 A24 horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, It’s What’s Inside watches as a group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.

Pic’s cast includes Brittany O’Grady, James Morosini, Gavin Leatherwood, Nina Bloomgarden, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Reina Hardesty, Devon Terrell, and David Thompson. William Rosenfeld, Kate Andrews, Jason Baum and Raúl Domingo, with Oscar nominee Colman Domingo exec producing alongside Ulf Ek and Robert Kapp.
