New Fadama Sissala Community enskins chief

The New Fadama Sissa­la Community on July 7, enskinned Chief Kuoro Giirzour Boowie (I) as the new Sissala Chief.

Chief Boowie is a com­puter engineer and he is known in private life as Zakaria Amadu.

The colourful ceremony was attended by the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, chiefs, imams, Mr Patrick Yaw Boamah, the Member of Parliament for Okaikoi Central Constituency, Mr Boti Mahama, the Member of Parliament for Sissala West and people from all walks of life.

The attendees were treated with to the rich, beautiful culture of the Sissaala people by the Sissala Group.

It was tradition at its best, as chiefs and the Sissala people took to the floor to display their dancing skills to the admiration of the guests.

Sheikh Sharubutu who is a father to all the ethnic groups in Fadama advised the Sissala Community to use chieftaincy as a tool to foster peace, unity and development.

He urged the newly enskinned chief to serve his people dutifully to earn their respect and loyalty.

The Chief Imam implored the commu­nity to support Chief Boowie (I) for the development of the community.

Mr Benjamin Adams, who chaired the enskinment, admonished the people to use chieftaincy as a catalyst for peace and development.

Mr Kingsley Abdel Razzaq Iddriss Ba­suglo, founder of KARIBS Foundation, a non-profit organisation and Special Aide to Chief Boowie (I) expressed his profound gratitude to the National Chief Imam and other guests.

Chief Boowie (I) holds Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, and works as a Systems Analyst.

He is also an accomplished entrepreneur, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the KARIBS Foundation, a Civil Society Organisation affiliated with United Na­tions Global Compact and United Na­tions Framework Convention on Climate Change.
