Manchester United fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Arsenal in their opening pre-season tour fixture, but there was little room for discussion around the result post-match.

That’s because, during the clash, Erik ten Hag lost both Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro to injury, with both players leaving the field within the first 45 minutes of action in California.

The forward appeared to sustain a hamstring issue, which came just minutes after he opened the scoring, while new recruit Yoro seemingly picked up a muscle complaint.

After last term saw the squad completely decimated by injuries, fans were ready for pre-season to provide some much-needed respite, but they’ve been left sweating over the two integral Reds since Sunday.

Of course, United are yet to release confirmation of the duo’s conditions. Ten Hag confirmed the payers would immediately undergo tests to determine the severity of their setbacks.

However, supporters are now fearing the worst after new footage emerged of Yoro wearing a protective boot and limping on crutches.
