We’ve confirmed that a new Jurassic World movie, a completely reboot, is being fastracked at Universal with the franchise’s original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp. He adapted the first two movies from 1993 and 1997 from Michael Crichton’s novels.
The film will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Entertainment, Frank Marshall, and Patrick Crowley will produce.
The Jurassic movies through six titles have grossed more than $6 billion worldwide.
Executive Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Executive of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the project for the Studio.
Koepp was here at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday night with the movie Presence, which he scripted and Steven Soderbergh directed.
