Max Eberl, sporting director of Bayern Munich, announces upcoming discussions for the future of German international Joshua Kimmich.

Joshua Kimmich’s future at Bayern Munich remains uncertain. As he endures a difficult season, the German midfielder is attracting the interest of several major European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and FC Barcelona.

Bayern Munich’s new sporting director, Max Eberl, spoke about Kimmich’s future. “He has had an incredible career path. He has quality and a good mentality. Joshua has a contract until 2025, I look forward to speaking with him and other players,” said the Bavarian manager.

Crucial issues

The departure of Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season could work in Bayern Munich’s favor to retain Kimmich, given that the German player does not have a particularly favorable relationship with the former PSG boss. However, everything will depend on the ability of the Bavarian club to present a sporting project ambitious enough to convince the native of Rottweil to extend his stay.

The coming weeks will be crucial in determining Kimmich’s fate. Bayern Munich will have to do everything possible to keep the player, who seems more and more open to a departure.
