In the FA Cup this past weekend, Real Madrid watched Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes in action against Manchester City.

According to HITC, the Brazilian midfielder is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world and Los Blancos are one of them.

Newcastle United were defeated 2-0 away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Saturday by Man City.

The Magpies manager Eddie Howe started Bruno Guimaraes and deployed him in the centre of the midfield.

Both Real Madrid and PSG watched the Newcastle United midfielder at the weekend, as per the report from HITC.

This season, Madrid will play the Premier League champions City in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals; undoubtedly, Los Blancos used the match against Newcastle as an opportunity to assess their readiness.

However, sources have confirmed to HITC that both Madrid and PSG believed that keeping an eye on Newcastle and Brazil international midfielder Bruno was their main priority.

Bruno is reportedly growing frustrated with Newcastle’s poor season.

Newcastle’s poor season is having a negative effect

Newcastle participated in the UEFA Champions League group stage this season and finished in the Premier League top four last season.

But this season has been disastrous for Howe’s men, as they sit in tenth place in the Premier League standings.

In 27 Premier League games this season for Newcastle, Bruno has three goals and five assists.

French champions PSG were also keeping an eye on long term transfer target Bernardo Silva, who is linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium in the summer.

Alexander Isak, Bruno’s teammate at Newcastle, was another player that PSG were closely monitoring.
